Hi. My name is Pat, and I actually like the Ferrari California. I’m admitting this despite the probable retribution from Orlovean followers. Standing here, proud of my proclamation. Come at me, punks.
Okay, now that I said that, Tesla’s stock has REALLY shit the bed this week!! Did anyone notice that?! Just... WOW. A lot of analysts who were Musk Fanbois changed their tunes over the past month and it’s hitting pretty hard now. $TSLA hasn't been this low since January of 2014! If you bought it since then, you're losing money (and according to analysts, you probably won't get it back for a while).
But yeah, I like Ferrari Californians and shit too.
Seriously, who’s champagne glass did Elon piss in at his NYE party to cause this?!?! In. Sane.

The California is awesome. The taillight placement on the last generation annoyed the shit out of me though.

The what? Oh yeah yeah, I agree. I don't get the hate. Like you're REAAAAALLLY taking your 458 to the track and not just using it to get chicks... Just buy the California and cruise.

I too like the California, 2+2 coupes rock! Even if the back seats are useless! And even though I hate convertibles, this one is a hardtop sunroof, and I’d never drop it if I had one! ^_^
Also it’s the best looking new Fezza for sale right now

It’s a pleasant execution of the brand’s current design: those long headlamps with the shit-eating grin on the front. Not that I hate the grin, but that’s the immediate description that comes to mind.

I didn’t like the first California. This one has grown on me, especially the front end. Much better on the second time around, Ferrari.

This is the Ferrari that should be most popular - I think this is more about having the open top experience with an Italian V8. It’s not the last word on speed, agility, or the other stuff you’d expect on a Ferrari race car. This looks like it’d be great to cruise in, and has the power to let you enjoy those rare bits of open road when you do find them.

Oh Pat. You never cease to amaze me....
That being said, I gotta agree with you on this one. There is way too much hate for this car when there shouldn’t be.

It’s a good looking car, even though the engine is in front and it only makes a measly 553 hp compared the 570 in the 458.

I wish they made a coupe (non-convertible) version. With a hatch for practical use.

I, too, enjoy the California. As for Tesla, it’s because oil’s price is staying in the gutters for a while, and people are reactionary.

I’m sure it’s fun to rip around in. Plenty fast in its own right as well. AND you can drop the top and cruise for people of your gender of choice

I've always thought it looked sharp. It's like a Maserati Plus.

It’s much more than oil. People buying a $100k+ vehicle could give a shit what they pay at the pump. While it does equate to some lost business, this much of a drop has a hell of a lot more ingredients.

I don’t think buyers are going to shy away, but investors will. Tesla succeeds as the market share for electrics expands. That’s more about leaf/bolts, And soon to be model 3s.
This confusion with dealer/direct sales probably doesn’t help.

I like the california as well, but not the new one.
My problem with the new one I think is the shape of the headlights, the grill is too big and the rear is very ugly, looking like Sid from Ice Age.
Other than the rear that looks kinda ugly as well, the old california looks really good. The only thing that I don’t like about the front end, is that “line” (lack of a better word) around the headlights on the bumper and on the hood that in some angles, looks kinda bad. But most of the times you don’t really notice.
I think it looks amazing with those wheels, and the grill painted in black. If one day I could buy one of these, I would only buy if it had those wheels.

It’s more that a lot of the super-positive analysts have backed off of their positions. TSLA has been trading at very high valuations considering its sales volumes. This might be the time everyone takes a step back and actually sees that.

It’s a great looking car, really invokes the classic road going Ferraris while still being modern in design.

I hated the looks of the old one, but the revisions made to the new one, especially the rear end treatment, make it look like an actual coherent design that’s very attractive IMO. The old rear was just the worst.
